Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Zachary Maxwell (“we”, “us”), who runs the Sticker Showdown Discord bot (“the bot”). By clicking ✅ Agree or using the bot you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. Contact: support@max1makes.com.

1. Who can play

You must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and meet Discord’s minimum age in your country. Server admins who add the bot are responsible for their server following Discord’s rules.

2. Your images

  • You keep ownership of the images you upload.
  • You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, adapt and display them for running the game. This includes turning them into cards, having an AI write names and moves for them, showing them in battles, leaderboards and campaign/dungeon enemies, and letting other players in the same Discord server “Quick Print” them after the original card is sacrificed, discarded or deleted. Cards can be traded to, or won by, other players in the same server, and a card’s owner can download it as a sticker image file (📲 WhatsApp) to use outside Discord. The licence ends when the image is deleted (see the Privacy Policy), except for copies we must keep by law; we can’t recall sticker files a player has already downloaded.
  • Only upload images you have the right to use, and don’t upload photos of real people without their permission.
  • Custom enemies: server admins (Manage Server) can add their own pictures as enemies in that server’s Campaign and Dungeons. These rules and this licence apply to those pictures too, and admins confirm the rule about photos of real people before adding any.

3. Rules — do not upload or create

  • sexual or nude content, or anything sexualising a minor;
  • graphic violence, gore, self-harm or suicide content, or real attacks, disasters and deaths used as a joke;
  • hate, harassment or bullying, including cards made to mock a real person;
  • terrorist or violent-extremist content, symbols or propaganda;
  • anything illegal, including content infringing someone else’s rights;
  • spam, or attempts to get around our safety checks (e.g. editing a removed image to re-upload it);
  • abuse of the report system (e.g. false reports to get other players’ cards hidden).

Uploads are automatically scanned and may be refused: on our own server for nudity, and, when cards are written by the AI, by the AI as well. The AI can also send a card to the server’s moderators to check. Card names, whether you type them or the AI writes them, are checked by an automatic filter.

4. Moderation and enforcement

We may hide, remove or refuse any content, reset or remove cards, and suspend or permanently ban accounts from the bot, in any Discord server, if we reasonably believe the rules have been broken or to keep players safe. Report anything wrong with 🚩 Report under a card or /report. Reports of sexual, violent or illegal content remove the card straight away and are passed to Discord; other reports go to that server’s moderators, who can keep or remove the card. Safety and Reporting explains each kind of report. If you think a decision was wrong, email support@max1makes.com with the details and we’ll review it. We report suspected child sexual abuse material and other serious illegal content to the relevant authorities.

5. AI-generated content

New cards are printed without a name. You can name a card yourself for free (✏️ Name your card; with Premium you can name its moves too, otherwise its moves come from the game’s own lists), or spend an AI token so an AI (Anthropic’s Claude) writes the name, moves and enemy quotes (🤖 Auto Name). AI-written text may occasionally be inaccurate or odd. It’s meant to be playful — if one is hurtful, report it.

6. Premium, Patron and purchases

  • Premium and 💎 Patron subscriptions, Premium gifts, AI token packs, binder slot packs and manual rename tokens are sold through Discord, and Discord’s Paid Services Terms apply to payment, cancellation and refunds.
  • Premium gives: AI tokens every day (they build up to a limit and stay usable if Premium ends), card customisation for all your cards (fonts, picture borders, styles, colour schemes and text colours), Premium binder themes, one favourite card per server that can’t be stolen in heists, sharper WhatsApp stickers with HD card and binder images, unlimited renames of cards and their moves, a ⭐ Premium role in the servers you play in, a bigger card token bank and token cap, and a shorter dungeon cooldown. The current perks and limits are shown in /premium. Premium and Patron never give card tokens faster, never give more prints a day and never change print odds — the exact odds are always published in /odds. Card tokens are never sold, so nothing you buy gives you more random prints. Your customisation, Premium binder themes and favourite-card protection apply only while you hold Premium or Patron.
  • 💎 Patron is a subscription above Premium. It includes everything in Premium, plus the Full art card style, the Patron border, the Patron Vault binder theme, a 💎 Patron role, a badge showing your months as a Patron, and, only if you choose it, your Discord username listed in ❓ Help in every server. Patron is for looks and status only: it never makes cards stronger. Its extras apply only while you hold Patron, and your Help listing ends when it does. Your total months as a Patron stay on your badge unless you delete your data.
  • AI tokens are spent one at a time when the AI writes a card’s text (🤖 Auto Name, or the Always Auto Name setting, which any player can turn on). If a request never reaches the AI or times out, the token is normally given back. Once the AI has looked at the picture the token is used, including when the AI refuses the picture. Bought AI tokens don’t expire.
  • Binder slot packs (+50 or +300) raise your binder limit in every server, for as long as you keep your game data.
  • A Premium gift gives another player Premium for 1 month, added to any free Premium time they already have. You choose who gets it from the ⭐ Store panel, and the bot announces the gift in that server. Gifts can’t be given to yourself.
  • If your Premium or Patron ends, you keep all your cards and any AI tokens you banked. Your cards go back to the standard look and your saved card style comes back if you subscribe again.
  • Binder size is the same for everyone (shown in /premium). If you have more cards than your binder holds (for example from before this rule), you keep and can play with all of them, but you can’t print more in that server until you make room.
  • We may sometimes give a player free Premium for a limited time (a trial). It works the same as a subscription and ends automatically; nothing is charged.
  • Everyone, with or without Premium, can print a limited number of cards each day across all servers. The bot tells you the limit when you reach it.
  • Manual rename tokens are sold in packs (the size is shown in the Store) and let you rename one card (its name and moves) each. Custom names must follow these rules and can be reverted by moderators.
  • Cards, card tokens, AI tokens, binder slots, manual rename tokens and all other in-game items are a licence to use a game feature. They have no cash value, can’t be sold or exchanged for real money or anything outside the game, and may be lost if you are banned or delete your data.
  • We may change game balance, perks and features over time. If we materially reduce what an active subscription includes, we’ll tell you in advance and you can cancel through Discord.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.

7. Availability

The bot is provided “as is”. We try to keep it running but don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. If we shut the bot down, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Liability

We aren’t responsible for content other players upload or for anything outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited under UK law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Ending

You can stop using the bot at any time and erase your data with ⚙️ Settings → 🗑️ Delete my data or /delete_my_data. We may end your access under section 4.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above and announce significant changes in #how-to-play. Continuing to use the bot means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts).
