The Max1makes Smart Target System brings fun and engaging training into your home setup.

Made for the user wanting more than flimsy static targets, we aim to provide the valuable varied training of commercial systems without the complexity (or massive price!).

We have designed it to be the best option for back garden plinkers, teams looking to practice at home or any family sick of their garden getting covered with bbs.

Key Features

• Hit Detection: Piezo sensors detecting when and which target is hit.
• Motorised Self-Reset: No more stopping to pick up your targets. The servo motors reset each target, allowing for continuous use.
• Varied Game Modes: Mix up your session with Time Challenges, Accuracy Tracking and Shoot-DontShoot drills to really improve.
• Deflective Angles: The target faces are precision-angled to safely redirect BBs downward into the ground, reducing the risk and mess of unpredictable ricochets.

Choose between shooting at either:

• 4 servo-actuated targets are able to move and detect hits independently from each other
• 4 Light-up hit detecting targets that ensure visibility, and open up the possibility of shoot/don’t shoot drills

all while the target angle and canvas “bb trap” outer housing helps to contain hits and near misses.

Inside a netting backstop takes much of the power out of projectiles, trapping and collecting them inside.

The included tripod mounting point ensures an easy, secure setup.

Flexibly powered via USB-C means the system can run on existing 5v wall plugs, or a portable power bank if it is strong enough.

Connecting to the target over wifi (phone, laptop etc) allows the target angles to be calibrated, additional game modes to be selected (see below), scores/times between hits to be viewed and an audio to be heard (e.g. targets “ping” on impact).

Game Modes

1. Classic: One random target appears at a time.
2. Knockdown: All four targets come up, and self reset when all are hit.
3. Duel: Players compete to react the fastest to a target appearing on their half of the system.
4. Timer: How many random individual targets can you hit in the set time?
5. Race: Players compete to set the fastest time to knock down all 4 targets.
6. Calibration: Set “up” and “down” angles for each motor to ensure targets are in the correct position during play

FAQ

Do I need to manually reset the targets?

No, this features motorised self-resetting targets powered by servo motors, allowing for uninterrupted shooting.

What is the max FPS or Joule limit for the Max1makes target?

The recommended maximum is 1.5 joules. That’s above typical UK skirmish rifles and pistols, which most sites limit to around 1.14 J (350 fps with 0.20 g BBs), and suits gel and foam dart blasters too. Many DMRs and bolt-action sniper rifles run above 1.5 J, so don’t use those with the Smart Target.

What can I shoot at it?

I recommend Airsoft or foam darts, however as vibrations sensors are used a wide range of projectiles can be used (within the power limits!)

Does it reduce cleanup?

Yes, the deflective angled targets redirect BBs downward into the enclosed canvas box, reducing ricochets and mess.

Can I leave it outside?

The system can be easily set up quickly anywhere, but should not be allowed to get wet or be left outside. Store in a dry indoor location.

How can I power the system?

Supply 5V to the USB-C power port.

Is this the best value budget smart target for Airsoft and Nerf?

Yes. The Smart Target is designed for airsoft, gel ball and foam dart blasters.
