Budget racing for ps4
Racing wheels seem a lot of fun, but can get expensive quickly!
Cardboard on the other hand is cheap, readily available and can be made into all sorts of useful creations.
Back in 2020 I wanted to try out a racing-wheel controller without investing any cash I made use of cardboard, thread and spare vex robotics plastic to tie the left-right stick movements of a ps4 controller to the rotations of a wheel, and the triggers to the pressing of physical cardboard pedals.

It works! Bringing this project to completion was the start of a very unhealthy relationship with spamming hot glue until everything fits together.
Did it make me better at TrackMania? Did I manufacture them into a new budget option to sell around the world? No, but a fun side project is more than enough reason to chuck something like this together.
